For my main project in this class, I want to create a short (8-10 page) story that introduces and "defines" some of my characters and ideas that I intend to use for personal projects in the future. The comic will be drawn out on paper and scanned in, where I will "ink it out" in Adobe Illustrator, using vector-based lines to make a fully-digital image and/or outline of the original drawings, but not actually using the scanned image itself. This will be done to have a more "professional"-looking quality and presentation for my comic. Once the vector outlines are finished, I will import them to photoshop and color them in, making use of shading, brushes, and filters. I will also add text in using the computer as well, since it will be easier for rewriting or reformatting if the dialogue boxes do not work well with the setup of a given panel.
I hope to have this project finished as well as properly printed and inked by the end of this term, or at least fully drawn out in the final digital format.
